Project 3 Brainstorming V1

For this project, I want to include stuffed animals as objects that will have projections on them. It would be cool since I will use stuffed animals. I will also look for childhood videos and cartoons to use in Vdmx and have them switch on the stuffed animals. Having a doll house to place them in and project the videos would be nice. If I do a dollhouse, I can put the portal animation I did last year into one of the rooms or spaces to make it look like the figures are teleporting throughout different rooms. It will be a little hard to record my childhood videos because they’re on a CD, so I’ll have to see if there’s a way to download them from the disk to my computer. I also think having a camera inside a stuffed animal to record people for an interactive aspect would be great. This would be a great idea because it would have an element of surprise with the performance aspect. Also, if the stuffed animals I use have a space on their belly, it would be great because the projection would be similar to the Teletubbies and their video calls on their bellies. That would also add to the nostalgic childhood feeling I want to evoke in the overall display and help bring those happy memories back to some people. Finally, I’d like this project to display memories of my childhood that will make my family happy because it would be great to convey personal feelings in an installation like that.
