For this project, I want to practice using Blender and Design Packaging for a potential 3D rendition of my own unique character. I would like to do multiple tutorials before using Blender and AI and my sketches to help generate ideas for the figure. I also plan to use the clay modeling mode and the technique we used last year for the bird. Because it would play into Project 2, it would be nice to split it into two parts by doing the packaging/character design in Blender by actually designing the figure and applying the design to the box. Then, I would do a little animation for the second part, like a commercial or background story for the toy. I think this would be a great project because it would help me develop art that I want to do (make toys/be childish), and it would also let me practice drawing in Photoshop and learn how to use Blender in a different way than what I learned the previous year in DA2. I still want to go with the class and use AI, but I want to use it more for inspiration. I also have had this idea in my mind for a while, and if I can develop it more, it would work out great. Regarding character design, I'm considering recreating my favorite POPMART series character, Dimoo, as a girl and having my character look like someone I know and am familiar with in a costume.
Tutorials I want to try:
duck
burger
frog
jelly
breakfast
soda
