For this project, I had already decided to make a dessert-themed figure to mimic some blind box series. I knew I wanted to do it in Blender because I do a lot of sewing and I love things like toys, so to be able to create something 3D in a digital space of that sort has always interested me. While working on this project in Blender, I gained a lot of new insight compared to the stuff I learned last year for the TikTok filter project. I think I am most proud of how the body came out; I was apprehensive about how the body would look, especially since it was going to be mostly covered up by the dress and shoes; it challenged my expectations in terms of what I thought I was getting myself into when designing a figure without any set tutorial and idea besides the sketch I had made. I also learned that I should save two versions that are the same because I became delayed when I lost a lot of my progress near the end after I created her hat. I want to 3D print her, but I want to make a box for her to create the figure series. One thing I wish I had done differently was the mouth; in the sketch, I could give her a mouth; however, I wouldn't say I liked any of the mouths I had given her when I was working in Blender. For my second project, where I set up a scene and try to animate her, I will see if there's any way to give her a more expressive face without losing her cuteness and design.
