Overall, I am delighted with how this project came out; because I missed a few days of class, I was worried about catching up, but I managed to make the tutorials up and even used my little bird as part of my filter. One of the things I regret, though, is how muted the colors of my filter were. I wanted the cat mask and the michi cat to be brighter. I also wish I had spent more time rigging the dancing cat. That way, the cat could dance better and have more movements, but I am proud of how it came out. Another thing that I struggled with during the project was how to effect house work because my computer would lag, and sometimes the head tracker would disappear, or my objects would move out of place. I couldn’t move them back; thankfully, I figured it out. I was also scared during critique because I didn’t realize it was three separate filters instead of just one filter, but the actions I added to make specific elements appear helped solve that issue because it ended up being like a three-in-one filter. I’m delighted I stuck to the theme of cats and birds because it made the filters very cohesive, and it was fun to include a bird around cats due to the irony of the pair. This project was an excellent way to get started with Blender, and I think I would like to practice more in the future.
